HOBO Temperature/RH Data Logger
The HOBO MX2300 data logger requires a compatible mobile device and the HOBOconnect app. System requirements for the app can be found at the bottom of the HOBOconnect software page.
Overview
The HOBO MX2301 is a weatherproof data logger with built-in temperature and relative humidity sensors. Leveraging Bluetooth Low Energy, the logger enables easy, fast setup and data download directly from your mobile device with Onset's free HOBOconnect app. The MX2301 provides high-accuracy measurements in harsh outdoor environments.
Add the MX Gateway for remote access to your data in Onset's cloud-based HOBOlink software.

Preassembled for quick deployment, the solar radiation shield is recommended for temperature and relative humidity measurement accuracy in locations exposed to direct or reflected solar radiation. Mounts on tripods, masts, or flat vertical surfaces. The following loggers require mounting brackets for use with the M-RSA:
- HOBO MX2301 or MX2305 loggers require the MX2300-RS-BRACKET
- HOBO U22 or U23-001 loggers require the U23 Clamp Kit .
This bracket is required for mounting HOBO MX2301 and MX2305 loggers in either an RS1 or M-RSA solar radiation shield.
Use the RS3-B Solar Radiation Shield with HOBO external sensors for improved temperature measurement accuracy in locations exposed to sunlight. The small size and unobstructed airflow of this shield provides a faster response to changing conditions than larger radiation shields.
The RS3-B Solar Radiation Shield works with most of Onset’s external temperature and temperature/relative humidity sensors, including those for our award-winning HOBO Weather Station products.
